Journal Page, Christmas Blues

Merry Christmas!  Hope you are having a wonderful day!  I have a tiny turkey breast baking in the oven (driving the cats crazy) and am heading to the studio for a while before preparing dinner.  Just wanted to post my latest journal page - kind of messy but I like it.  I had a wonderful Christmas project to share with you but them my Christmas took a turn toward the bah humbug.  Next year I will be more prepared.  Christmas can be very difficult for single people.  Personally, I always look forward to the time off to work on finishing up and starting new projects in the studio.  It's other people who tend to make me feel blue about Christmas.  Like my mom who loves me but always worries that I am isolating myself and calls to make sure I am okay or tries to drag me out to the movies or dinner.  But I am having a great weekend!  Yesterday I cleaned my house like a banshee, played in the studio for a few hours and even played my guitar (something I have not done in almost 2 years!  Surprised I remembered so much and shocked I had forgotten so much).  I stayed up until 4 a.m. last night reading a great novel and listening to my neighbors Christmas lights popping off like crazy causing my reading light to flicker.  Today has been a little more low key - taking it slow and easy.  Plan to paint a little and sew a lot - have a crazy feeling that I need to just go nuts on my sewing machine and sew, sew, sew instead of Ho, Ho, Ho.

Tomorrow I have to go to a surprise party for my brother-in-law and pick up a ping-pong table.  Someone at work listed the pingpong table on our online bulletin board and I jumped (just have to add balls as it comes with lots of paddles too).  I used to love to play pingpong.  My nieces and nephews will probably enjoy playing as well when they come visit.  Always good to have something to keep them occupied!  In the meantime, I can secretly train so I can beat them - haahaaahaaaa (evil laugh).  Sunday I have lunch plans with my sister but other than that I am freeeee - yippeee!  Happy Giraffe!  Belinda
