2023 was a
soul killing year - tragedies were not limited to the house fire that totally
destroyed physically, emotionally and mentally. 2024 was better and actually got
kind of great towards the end. I bought a loom in April, took a fun class in
May, totally refurbished the loom, took a great beginner class in July and by
year's end, I had fallen in love and finished two projects.
In October the new house was done and the studio was returned to it's original purpose as a place to be
creative, instead of a cramped
and crowded home for me and my kitties, Halo and Butter. And once again, here I
am. Back at the laptop. Ready to go with a plan.
2025 will be the year I finally learn how to budget so I
can tell my money where to go instead of wondering where it wandered off.
This year I will incorporate exercise as a daily practice and start taking vitamins
instead of relying on my sometimes shoddy eating habits. (It's worth a try.)
This year I will spend a large part of everyday in pursuit of creative
endeavors.
I am committing to a daily writing practice and finding beta readers, an
agent and finally publishing one of my books. It may not be published in 2025,
but it's a great place to start.
I'm also committing to finishing old projects that have lingered far too long, but also taking on new challenges and learning new stuff.
Wow. That's a lot to do in a year, but if I do a little bit every day, I might just end up amazing myself!
Happy Giraffe!
